Talbot was presented this honorary award at the Association of Adventist Women banquet on October 12, 2024. Talbot was recognized for her commitment to sharing Jesus through her preaching, writing, and visual ministry.

In Iowa, Adventist Education Helps Calms the Storm

In August 2020, Andrews Christian Academy in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was hit with a rapidly forming derecho storm causing destruction and power outages area-wide for weeks. As the teachers, students, and their families recovered, plans were made to ensure the students could get back to school as soon as possible. The teachers felt it was important not only for the students to learn but to talk and work through their frightening experiences.
