Ken Bacon Named President and CEO for AdventHealth’s Multi-State Division, Assumes Role March 1
Ken Bacon has been named president and CEO for AdventHealth’s Multi-State Division, effective March 1. In his new role, Bacon will oversee the strategic direction, development and expansion of the entire division, which spans five regions comprised of 20 campuses across eight states.

Leaders Vote to Postpone General Conference Session 2020 for a Second Time
For the second time in 10 months, members of the Executive Committee of the global Seventh-day Adventist Church have voted to postpone the quinquennial session of the denomination, originally scheduled for late June of 2020, due to challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the COVID-19 pandemic affected life for everyone, Southwestern Adventist University focused on meeting student needs through the Fighting Food and Housing Insecurity fundraising campaign. Launched with a goal to raise $50,000, SWAU has recently concluded the campaign, exceeding the goal.

“The Dig” Dinosaur Research Project in Need of a New Field Station
The year 2021 marks Southwestern Adventist University’s Dinosaur Science Museum and Research Center’s 25th annual summer dig in Wyoming. Through the past quarter century, this special project has excavated and cataloged more than 30,000 dinosaur bones and brought together thousands of students and researchers together. As the research project has gained world-wide recognition over the years, the number of summer participants has outgrown the capacity of the onsite research station

Guide Magazine Publishes a Story-based Adventist Fundamental Beliefs Book
Guide magazine managing editor Laura Sámano has compiled 28 true stories, one for each of the Seventh-day Adventist fundamental beliefs, and written Bible study questions for each belief in the new book What We Believe for Guide Readers. Taken from the weekly magazine for readers ages 10–14, the book’s stories, which include stories of Adventist pioneers as well as contemporary protagonists, introduce kids to each of the Church’s fundamental beliefs.
