"October has been designated by our country [the U.S] as Pastor Appreciation Month. Actually, every month should be a pastors' appreciation month! We have over 4,000 pastors across our division, and I want you to know, each one, that you are the foundational block of our workforce in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. We all stand on your shoulders, the conference directors stand on your shoulders, conference administrators stand on your shoulders, union administrators and division administrators, and the entire General Conference — we all stand on the shoulders of the pastors.
Thank God for each of you, and for your commitment and faithfulness to the Lord and to His church! Thank you for the adjustments you have made during the COVID-[19] crisis, the economic crisis, and the racial crisis that we find ourselves in today. We owe a debt of gratitude to you and your service, without which we will not be the church we have become. Thank you for the hours spent up at night, shepherding the flock. Thank you for the voice that you are in the community. Thank you for your community outreach, for your evangelistic outreach. And may God richly bless you and your families.
I just wanted you to know, on behalf of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America, you are valued and appreciated. May God bless each of you!"
— G. Alexander Bryant, North American Division president
