This Spring, North American Division to Host Second Pentecost 2025 Division-wide Prayer Meeting

Adventists across the North American Division are invited to the live-streamed prayer meeting on May 2, 2025.

On May 2, 2025, the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will livestream a special one-hour prayer meeting. The first such meeting ushered in the 10 Day of Prayer on Jan. 8.

NAD president G. Alexander Bryant shared that the division recognizes "our great need to stay in a mindset of knowing our continual need to pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit;" and thus, church leaders felt compelled to host another event to enrobe in prayer the churches and schools engaged in community efforts and proclamation events this spring, as well as continue to invoke the Holy Spirit in all members. The Friday evening event will stream from the NAD headquarters, beginning at 9 p.m. ET. The NAD is encouraging those interested in joining the prayer meeting to register via the special Pentecost 2025 prayer page.

In addition to the prayer meeting registration link and viewing information, the NAD has gathered social media resources for churches and leaders alike to invite their members to join the event, including an introductory video.* The prayer wall, opened for the January meeting, is still active and available for people to add their prayer requests and pray for each other.

The message in the prayer video is simple. "We are thrilled to invite you to a powerful and unifying moment — our Pentecost prayer meeting on Friday night, May 2, 2025," it begins. "Prayer changes everything. Just as in Acts 2, when believers prayed together at Pentecost, the Holy Spirit moved, and the world was never the same. Prayer united them. Prayer transformed them. Prayer empowered them to carry the gospel to the ends of the earth. Now, it’s our time."

The division hopes its church members — from Bermuda to the Guam-Micronesia Mission, from Canada to the United States — will, as one church across North America, come together to pray for the abundant outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The video message, spoken by leaders from unions in the NAD as well as several division leaders, continues: "This is more than a meeting — it’s a movement. A movement of faith. A movement of unity. A movement of prayer. Together, we can witness God move in ways beyond our imagination. ... Let’s meet at the throne of grace — as one church, one family."

Those who would like to join this prayer service can register online for the live Zoom meeting. There is limited space so the NAD encourages people to sign up as soon as possible. The special prayer meeting will also be shared on Facebook and YouTube. Visit the Pentecost 2025 prayer web page at www.pentecost2025.com/prayer to learn more. Special items include:
