The Mid-America Union Young Adult LIFE Tour will be held January 26-27, 2024, at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. The tour stop event is free; attendees are asked to register at www.youngadultlife.com.
Pastor Benjamin Lundquist is the featured presenter, and will be joined by pastors Guadalupe Montour, Kyle Smith, and several other young adult ministry specialists. The event begins Friday evening with a general session lead by Lundquist.
Lundquist is one of the leading voices for young adult ministry in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He currently serves as the Young Adult Ministries director for the Oregon Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. In addition, Lundquist serves in coaching and mentoring ministry leadership across the nation and abroad — and leads innovative projects such as the Growing Together Cohort for the North Pacific Union. He is also instrumental to the North American Division’s Young Adult LIFE initiative. Lundquist is passionate about inspiring and equipping people — especially university students and young professionals — to become followers of Jesus and effective leaders for His cause.
Benjamin frequently speaks on faith and leadership and has worked with many colleges and universities, including the University of Colorado where he recently spoke to the coaches and players of their football program. He also hosts the Rise and Lead podcast, which has been downloaded in 135 countries, providing world class content and conversation to help listeners grow to their next level and expand their impact.
Many church leaders, parents, and adult members are eager to discover ways to engage and empower young adults in ministry and create meaningful bonds with local church life; But so often, they are at a loss as to where to start or how to begin building relationships. The Young Adult LIFE Tour intends to bring insights and relevant, doable steps toward building young adult ministry now. The overarching tour goal is to equip the generations with the knowledge and tools for engaging each other, growing together in the local church context.
All church leaders, young adults, parents and pastors are invited to this free training which will include practical training, exclusive resources, inspirational worship, ministry networking, and Sabbath meals. The first 50 registrants will receive a copy of Young Adult Ministry NOW, a recently published ministry primer by AdventSource.
