Randy Robinson, North American Division treasurer, shared his experience getting a COVID-19 vaccine at Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, Maryland, in a video showing the event. "I feel so strongly that we should be responsible in getting our vaccines. I think we protect ourselves, we protect those around us — our loved ones and those in our community," said Robinson.
In the video, Robinson shared that in late March he got the first Moderna vaccine. "I'm really excited. I'm so thrilled that Shady Grove is serving the community in this way. I think it's a hugely important service to the community."
Robinson said he was excited that not only he and his wife were able to get the first vaccine, but also that they'd be going back for the second dose. "We're just looking forward to completing that process," he continued. "And I'm just grateful that Shady Grove is reaching out and serving the community in [this] way."
He encouraged viewers, saying "If you have a place close to you where you are, I hope that you'll register [for the vaccine]. Check with the county. Check with your neighborhood clinics and hospitals. Please register as soon as you can. It's a protection for you — and those around you."
