Report on 2024 Consolidated Enrollment
The Association of Adventist Colleges and Universities (AACU), comprised of the presidents and other top leaders from 13 Adventist colleges and universities in North America, has determined that the latest consolidated fall enrollment numbers for all 13 institutions totals 20,828 students. This increase of 256 students from the previous year marks the second consecutive year of total growth.
Charting a New Path: 2024 Administrators’ Conference Unites Leaders to Shape the Future of the Church in North America
It’s been 10 years since conference and union presidents, executive secretaries, and treasurers gathered in one room to brainstorm how best to carry out the church’s mission in North America. A long-awaited follow-up, the 2024 administrators’ conference hosted more than 200 conference and union officers at the NAD’s headquarters on Oct. 30-31.

Pacific Union College Partners with Loma Linda University to Launch Accelerated Social Work Master's Program
In November, Pacific Union College (PUC) and Loma Linda University (LLU) formally agreed to establish a 4+1 Master of Social Work (MSW) program, streamlining the transition from a bachelor’s degree to a master’s degree for students. This innovative program simplifies the application process for students, requiring only one application and acceptance step. Successful completion of this accelerated social work program results in attaining both a bachelor’s degree from PUC and a master’s degree from LLU.
The 2023 PELC Celebrates Chaplains’ Work as Ministers in a Pluralistic Setting
“In 1976, when I became a chaplain, it was said that I was leaving the ministry,” said Rear Admiral (Ret.) Barry Black, the guest speaker for a special chaplains’ Sabbath at Oakwood University Church on December 2, 2023. He continued, “I was looked upon as leaving the ministry because providing spiritual nourishment in a pluralistic setting of religious diversity was not valued by the church.” The irony of this statement was not lost on the hundreds of chaplains and other guests attending the service launching the chaplains’ track of the Pastoral Evangelism and Leadership Council. “Mercy!” “Wow!” and “My Lord!” echoed through the sanctuary.

Connecting to Hope: Addressing the Loneliness Epidemic in the Heart of NYC
Launched in New York City, "Connecting to Hope" is a three-month awareness campaign designed to encourage individuals to foster connections with their community, family, friends, and neighbors, as well as to cultivate spiritual connections with God. The campaign's resources serve as a lifeline to combat loneliness, encouraging people to seek support, and proactively connect with those around them. This collaboration between the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America and Hope Channel International features a series of impactful 15-second ads displayed on a digital billboard in New York City's Times Square.
