The Association of Adventist Women has named Elizabeth Talbot, Ph.D., the 2024 Woman of the Year for spiritual leadership and media ministry. Talbot was presented this honorary award at the Association of Adventist Women banquet on October 12, 2024. Talbot was recognized for her commitment to sharing Jesus through her preaching, writing, and visual ministry.

Report on 2024 Consolidated Enrollment

The Association of Adventist Colleges and Universities (AACU), comprised of the presidents and other top leaders from 13 Adventist colleges and universities in North America, has determined that the latest consolidated fall enrollment numbers for all 13 institutions totals 20,828 students. This increase of 256 students from the previous year marks the second consecutive year of total growth.

2021 Elections Bring Leadership Changes for NAD Administration, Departments, and Guam-Micronesia Mission

Three vice presidents, two directors, an associate director, Liberty magazine editor, and the president of the Guam-Micronesia Mission have been newly elected to serve the North American Division until 2025. The election on April 29, 2021, took place during a meeting of the NAD Executive Committee; the date was chosen by the same governing body through a vote on Feb. 25, 2021, after the postponement of the 2021 General Conference Session.

Leaders Address Size of NAD Executive Committee, Approve Statement on “God’s Call to Live in Healing and Harmony”

The Executive Committee of the North American Division held a business meeting on April 29, 2021 to hold elections, vote on policy, amend bylaws of the NAD corporation, and vote on a revised statement from the writing committee which, according to the document’s preamble, “addresses issues specific to the NAD, and contextualizes the [General Conference’s] ‘One Humanity’ document into the North American setting.

Office of Volunteer Ministries Reinstates International Mission Deployments

On April 15, 2021, the North American Division administration voted to reinstate mission deployments through the NAD Office of Volunteer Ministries (OVM). This reinstatement includes long-term missionary volunteers (two months or longer) from North America who serve around the world.
