In Response to Natural Disasters, Adventist Community Services Is Working to Assist Affected Communities

After the deadly tornadoes in May of this year, which caused widespread damage in Missouri and Kentucky, the Adventist Community Services (ACS) team continues to provide active support. In St. Louis, Missouri, there was significant property damage, and several lives were lost. In Texas, relief services are underway following deadly floods from early July. ACS Disaster Response has been working in those areas.

North American Division Adventist Community Services Introduces Pilot Warehouse Operations Class

The Northeastern Conference Adventist Community Services (ACS) sponsored a pilot class in warehouse operations in Hamden, Connecticut, on Sunday, January 23, 2022. Sixty-five participants from three local conferences, Northeastern, Greater New York, and Southern New England, attended the eight-hour PowerPoint-based class hosted by the Mount Zion Seventh-day Adventist Church.

A Passion for Prayer and Public Relations

Rockefeller Ludwig Twyman, known to many as “Rocky,” was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and currently lives in Rockville, Maryland. A public relations consultant, Twyman describes what he does this way: “I bring about positive stories, promote positive stories about churches and social organizations in the media.” In addition to this role, Twyman is an accomplished musician and choir director, activist, and prayer warrior.
