Walla Walla University Theology Students Intern Across North Pacific Union Conference
The North Pacific Union summer ministerial internship is a wonderful opportunity for Walla Walla University (WWU) theology and religious studies majors interested in pastoral ministry. Through this 10-week program, students earn full-time practical experience under the mentorship of skilled North Pacific Union Conference (NPUC) pastors, strengthening their understanding of what pastoral careers look like.
Andrews University Receives Major Grant from Lilly Endowment Inc.
Andrews University has received a grant of $6,326,735 from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Ministry in Rural Areas and Small Towns Initiative. On January 8, 2025, the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church will kick off the world church's 10 Days of Prayer with a special prayer meeting. The event, which will live stream from the NAD headquarters, begins at 9 p.m. ET. Southwestern Adventist University Hosts 27th Annual Hoops Classic
Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) again hosted the largest basketball tournament in the North American Division with more than a thousand in attendance. Twenty-five Seventh-day Adventist academies and Christian high schools brought 48 teams* from all across the U.S. to Keene, Texas, to play in the 27th Southwestern Adventist University Annual Hoops Classic tournament. While on campus, students got a taste of what it is like to be a student at SWAU, including a spiritual experience.
New AdventHealth Clinic Is Helping Research, Treat Long-haul COVID
AdventHealth has opened a multidisciplinary clinic to diagnose, treat and research long-haul COVID, a critical next step in the health care system’s pandemic response that will help physicians better understand the puzzling syndrome caused by COVID-19. Early national research estimates that around 6 percent of people who had the disease will develop long-haul COVID.
