Southern California Conference Responds to the January 2025 Wildfires
A series of fires erupted in southern California on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, amid extremely dry and windy weather conditions. As of January 9 the death toll is seven; thousands of homes have been destroyed. The largest blaze, the Pacific Palisades Fire, is now considered the most destructive in Los Angeles City history. This release contains information about what the Southern California Conference is doing to respond immediately to the crisis caused by the fires.
Walla Walla University Theology Students Intern Across North Pacific Union Conference

Andrews University has received a grant of $6,326,735 from Lilly Endowment Inc. through its Ministry in Rural Areas and Small Towns Initiative. The North American Division’s (NAD) 2022 Year-End Meeting, themed “Together in Mission: I Will Go,” opened on Thursday, October 27, with a song. As NAD administrators G. Alexander Bryant, president, Kyoshin Ahn, secretary, and Randy Robinson, treasurer, sang the chorus for “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus,” a proven trick for quieting a crowd, the voices in the room shifted from lively chatter to a harmonious choir.

At the North American Division (NAD) headquarters in Columbia, Maryland, the 2022 NAD Year-End Meeting started at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27. This annual business meeting, which has returned to an in-person event, with livestreaming on the NAD website and various other social media platforms, will provide the opportunity for 300 executive committee members to receive reports, amend policies, strategize, and fellowship with church leaders who have dedicated themselves to sharing with others Christ and the Adventist faith.
ACS Disaster Response Targets Areas Hardest Hit by Hurricane Ian
On Sept. 28, 2022, Florida’s Gulf Coast was devastated by Hurricane Ian, a category 4 storm. With a death toll of at least 119, Ian is Florida’s deadliest hurricane since 1935. Fierce winds up to 155 mph, torrential rain, and a storm surge as high as 15 feet left homes, businesses, roads, bridges, and other infrastructure in shambles.
