Report on 2024 Consolidated Enrollment

The Association of Adventist Colleges and Universities (AACU), comprised of the presidents and other top leaders from 13 Adventist colleges and universities in North America, has determined that the latest consolidated fall enrollment numbers for all 13 institutions totals 20,828 students. This increase of 256 students from the previous year marks the second consecutive year of total growth.

A long-awaited follow-up, the 2024 administrators’ conference hosted more than 200 conference and union officers at the NAD’s headquarters on Oct. 30-31.

Promoting Healthy Minds at Southern Adventist University

Experts across America have gathered statistics that point to a mental health crisis for college students. Anxiety concerns have risen from 56 percent in 2013 to 65 percent in 2023, according to the Center for Collegiate Mental Health. The center also found that the number of students seeking help has steadily increased from 2009 until the pandemic. In response to the crisis, Southern Adventist University is working to ensure that students have access to various high-quality mental health resources.

The Hidden Gem at Camporee

Tucked away in a corner of the East Pavilion Building, the Geoscience Research Institute (GRI)/North Pacific Union Creation Study Center (NPUC CSC) booth proved to be a hidden gem at the International Pathfinder Camporee in Gillette, Wyoming. With six unique honors in geology, chemistry, rocks and minerals, meteorites, and dinosaurs, the booth attracted curious Pathfinders with its engaging scavenger hunt and interactive displays.

Pacific Union College Makes Its Mark at the International Pathfinder Camporee, Witnesses God’s Presence Amidst Storms and Setbacks

In early August, Pacific Union College created connections by making its mark at the International Pathfinder Camporee in Gillette, Wyoming, providing engaging activities, essential training, and showcasing Adventist higher education to more than 60,000 young people from across the globe. Despite intense storms and weather-related setbacks, PUC staff and students had the incredible opportunity to witness God’s presence and power amidst the storms.

New Children’s Sabbath School Curriculum to Roll Out in January 2025

Sabbath Schools in Seventh-day Adventist churches around the world will see a big change as the Alive in Jesus curriculum launches in January 2025, with the roll out of materials for babies (birth through 12 months) and beginners (1-3 years). The rollout will continue for the next three years for age groups kindergarten and primary (2026), followed by junior and teen (projected for 2027), and youth (projected for 2028).

Women Leading in the Spirit of the Latter Rain

God has promised a special gift to His church and to His people living in the last days. This promise is illustrated in a very familiar passage found in Joel 2:28, 29: “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit” (KJV). This promise is for us today. For all people.
