He begins most days at 7:15 a.m., offering a prelude that acts as a bridge to worship. With more than 640 students participating, this year’s freshman service day on Aug. 18 was the biggest Southern Adventist University has held so far. The incoming class is the third largest in the school’s 130-year history and the largest since the annual event began.

Congregations in Central Ohio Come Together for Three Week Evangelistic Effort "Impact Columbus - Sharing Hope Revival"

In the summer of 2022, central Ohio churches of the Allegheny West Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, challenged their congregations to a public evangelism effort. Churches invited members from their local communities to participate in a city-wide Bible study. Congregations united to host a series of giveaways and community events at multiple locations. This outreach led to Impact Columbus – Sharing Hope Revival, a 15-day evangelistic campaign from August 20 to September 10, 2022.

Ministry in Action at an Arkansas Summer Camp

In early July 2022, Armando Miranda Jr., associate director from the North American Division Youth and Young Adult Ministries department, spent a week in the whirlwind of summer camp ministries at Camp Yorktown Bay, a historical retreat on Arkansas’ Lake Ouachita. In addition to leadership opportunities, Miranda was impressed by the healing he observed during his time at camp.

Master Guide Convention Celebrates 100 Years, "Leads the Way" for New Generations

The 2022 Master Guide Convention was held on August 3-6, 2022, with the theme of “Leading the Way.” The event allowed dedicated youth leaders from all across the North American Division to meet new and old friends, enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities, and participate in round table discussions about the past, present, and future of Master Guides in ministry.
