On Wednesday evening, January 8, 2025, the North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a special prayer meeting to launch the world church’s 10 Days of Prayer with emphasis on "Seeking God's Spirit" for Pentecost 2025. “We’re delighted to have you here with us tonight. We’re excited about what God is going to do and about His promises, and tonight, we’re going to claim those promises.” NAD president G. Alexander Bryant said in his greetings.

Southern California Conference Responds to the January 2025 Wildfires

A series of fires erupted in southern California on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, amid extremely dry and windy weather conditions. As of January 9 the death toll is seven; thousands of homes have been destroyed. The largest blaze, the Pacific Palisades Fire, is now considered the most destructive in Los Angeles City history. Walla Walla University Theology Students Intern Across North Pacific Union Conference

The North Pacific Union summer ministerial internship is a wonderful opportunity for Walla Walla University (WWU) theology and religious studies majors interested in pastoral ministry. Historic Promotion Makes Andrew Harewood First Adventist and African American Chaplain to Reach General Rank in US Army Reserve

On Nov. 1, 2020, Col. Andrew Harewood was promoted to general officer upon accepting the position of deputy chief of chaplains for the United States Army Reserve, making him the first Adventist and the first African American chaplain to become a general in the Army Reserve. With the promotion, he is the third Adventist chaplain in the U.S. military to reach the general rank.

Online, In-Person, or in Between: La Sierra University Students Move Ahead in Difficult Times

Her face mask is sometimes uncomfortable and six-foot distancing from classmates less than ideal, but pre-veterinary medicine student Madyllyne Vaca appreciates being able to conduct biology research on campus at La Sierra University in Riverside, California. “The physical procedures are very important to the lab, and I would not be learning as much if it were all online.” Vaca is part of a small number of students who are able to attend the university in-person this fall," the sophomore said. God Provides in Bermuda

Escalating demands for food throughout the island became an impetus for Adventist Community Services Bermuda to do more. Earlier this year Dora Baker, Bermuda Conference ACS director, recalls, “As the pandemic increased in Bermuda, I began receiving more and more calls for assistance. The needs were far more than we could meet, as we are a very small congregation with mostly senior members on a fixed income.” Baker asked her ACS team, the elders, and other members of the church to join her in seeking God’s help through prayer.
