NAD Administrators Affirm Work and Assess Needs During Visit to the Guam-Micronesia Mission
Beginning January 4, 2024, a North American Division administrative team visited several islands within the Guam-Micronesia Mission for two weeks. “We wanted to provide encouragement and do an assessment of needs and see how we could better support the work there,” said NAD president G. Alexander Bryant.
Elizabeth Talbot Named Woman of the Year by Association of Adventist Women
The Association of Adventist Women has named Elizabeth Talbot, Ph.D., the 2024 Woman of the Year for spiritual leadership and media ministry. Talbot was presented this honorary award at the Association of Adventist Women banquet on October 12, 2024. Talbot was recognized for her commitment to sharing Jesus through her preaching, writing, and visual ministry.

Last fall, during the North American Division 2017 Year-End Meeting, a group of church leaders gathered in a conference room for a lunchtime meet and greet. A conference president, three college presidents, several ministry leaders, and a few church officers — all women — gathered to reflect, share, pray, and praise God. Andrews Honors Scholar at Andrews University, was awarded the Barry Goldwater Scholarship, the most prestigious national award for undergraduates who intend to pursue careers in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering.
La Sierra University Wind Ensemble Debuts at Carnegie Hall
On the evening of March 15, La Sierra University’s Wind Ensemble led by conductor Giovanni Santos walked onto one of the world’s most eminent stages where many of music’s greatest talents have dazzled audiences with their skill. The ensemble of more than 40 La Sierra musicians made their debut at New York City’s Carnegie Hall performing published pieces as well as new works written by Santos, adjunct music professor and Emmy-winner Gary Kuo, and tenor Anthony Léon, an award-winning music major at La Sierra.
